Architects of Film: Michel Legrand, Music & Pablo Ferro, Title Design for "The Thomas Crown Affair" [1968]

With a nod to the new split-screen technology that he employed also in specially edited scenes for director Norman Jewison's movie that follows, title designer Pablo Ferro uses gem color-tinted snippets of the principal actors' handsome faces to hint at the puzzle-solving plot of this glamourous bank heist caper. Set to the Oscar winning song "Windmills of Your Mind" by Michel LeGrand and Alan & Marilyn Bergman, and sung by Noel Harrison.
