At once dreamlike yet historically accurate, whimsical yet sincere, artful but ingenuous, production designer Adam Stockhausen's brilliantly imagined world for Wes Anderson's film is as strongly detailed a character as any in this loving, and strangely unironic homage to our recent, more innocent, past.
